Our approach with POOLcast is to provide a platform for us, our friends and fellow musician, but we also crawl the web for people which connects with us through their work. The POOLcast of July is another one of these discoveries. This time we invited Gareth Ormerod from London with this solo project ormr.
Gareth was involved with Skam records for a number of years from the late 90s, Dj'ing, some remixing and theatre work. He was then in a creative collaboration zK for a long time. His work experiments with new working methods, a focus on limiting time spent on tracks, quick jams recorded and listened back to some time after and stitched together as themes emerge. All pretty hazy and ambient, themes of noise both natural and electronic and the spaces in between.
